What Our Clients Say
What is the interlock paving process?
1. Setting up:
The first step in our process is to prepare the site for installation. This usually involves excavating the area, creating a level surface, and compacting the soil.
2. Installing the Base:
Once the site is prepared, we add a base layer of gravel or crushed stone and use a tamper to compact this layer even further. This provides a stable foundation for the material and helps to prevent shifting over time.
3. Adding a Sand Layer:
Next, we spread a layer of sand over the base layer to create a smooth surface.
4. Installing the Brick:
Once we have a smooth surface, the interlocking brick or stone is installed in the desired pattern and fits together securely for a stable surface.
5. Final touch-ups:
Once this is done, the remaining gaps between the bricks are filled with polymeric sand and the surface of the bricks is compacted as needed.
6. Clean up:
Finally, when the deck is complete, our contractors will clean up the site and remove any debris from the deck installation or repair project.
How much does interlock paving cost?
Our fee for interlock paving services depends on the size of the project, the materials used, labour hours and how complex the design is. On average, our prices range from $15.00- $40.00 per square foot.
